AudioShell is a great add-on for Windows Explorer in Windows. The application allows a great deal of depth to the management of MP3 files in Windows. It basically gives you the ability of creating and modifying ID3 tags right within Windows Explorer. It adds two new tabs to the properties dialog of the MP3 files. From there, you can add information about your MP3 songs. For example, you can tell Windows who is the singer, album, the year the song was released, the quality, the genre, etc. Then, you will be able to sort your songs by artist or album if you want to. There are applications that can do this, but they often require that you open a separate app just to input the data. AudioShell allows you to do it straight up from your Windows Explorer, which saves you time and allows you to do all your ID3 tagging with ease. AudioShell supports a great variety of formats, so I am taking it that whatever you have, it will support. Also, the application comes in several languages, just in case you don't speak English. The latest version of Audioshell is 1.35. However, this review deals with version 1.3.
